Ending in Angels is a novel about overcoming challenges. The main character, Dave, is growing up with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Middle school, high school, and college can be difficult times in life for anyone: facing them in a wheelchair is an extra challenge Dave must take on. Like many adolescents, Dave battles bullying, anxiety, insecurity, grief, depression, and even suicidal thoughts. Luckily, he is able to use his relationships and memories to help him cope. Laughing with his best friend, listening to his Dad, and getting to know his first love gives him strength during the hardest periods of his life. But when he finds himself alone without these three people, who can he lean on? Dave sets out on a journey across the country and a journey through his own thoughts and feelings.
